Aussie Soldier
Up Close and Personal
Denny Neave with Craig Smith

Compassion, Mateship, Courage, Initiative, Loyalty, Integrity and Trust.

Spanning a long history of wars and battles, as well as peacekeeping missions around the world, Aussie Soldier is a collection of tales, anecdotes and perspectives of life in military uniform.

Encompassing the values of mateship, compassion, courage, initiative and integrity, it gathers never-before-published diary extracts and personal perspectives that shed light on the Australian soldier's duty.

In a flood of heart-warming, confronting and humorous emotions, Aussie Soldier gets up close and personal in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, drawing on a soldier's experience to demonstrate a life on the line for the sake of our nation.

From World War One to the modern day conflict Australian soldiers young and old provide an up close and personal perspective on the Army’s core values and how being a soldier is more then just putting on a uniform.

Confronting, thoughtful and with a sense of humour the collection of stories featured in Aussie Soldier provide an insight into the human element of a high profile and often misconstrued field of expertise.
